Harry Potter has kept, if not gained, momentum through the years. Harry Potter World at Universal has shops, butter-beer, Ollivanders wan shop where you can get a wand, robes shops, and rides. At the moment the have a Hogsmeade area and Universal has planned a Diagon Ally area for summer of this year.
Fans of the series have also made real life games of Quidditch, of course they can't fly but they run around on brooms and it's know as an official sport at many collages.The Snitch is a runner dressed in all gold and the balls are passed instead of flying. But other than that the games are pretty close to the book and movie.
There is also going to be a trilogy based on the book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Fans of course are excited and can't wait for a future installment
There was also a fan made musical trilogy called A Very Potter Musical. The first one has ten and a half million views on YouTube. It was made in 2009, but the newest, and third installment was made in 2013. Evanna Lynch who plays Luna Lovegood plays her character and it was filmed live before fans. Although not as "family friendly" as the movies it is very funny and has a crazy fan following.
The Harry Potter fans are alive and well and even though Harry Potter isn't my favorite book or movie series it's still really awesome to see how a series could bring so many people together.
