Challenging Topics With Morris

I can say that I did some what enjoy the reading of William Morris's book but the aspect of so much sexuality was to my taste portrayed in poor taste. In class we did discuss the topic of sexuality in books in general and how if done correctly and necessarily to flow with the story then it might be acceptable. However, the sexuality concept was done to flow with the story; I will say that, but I still think that the topic of "love" was a bit distorted.
Let me explain what I mean a little further. It's not that I was uncomfortable with reading through all of the sexuality but I was uncomfortable with how two people could claim to love each other so much that in order to continue on and keep things quiet that they would make the agreement to still sleep around with other people. Now, this all makes for a good and interesting story line, bu this was definitely not a book that I would have picked up to read on my own, that's for sure.
Possibly this is what taking a challenging class is all about, branching out and digging deeper into things you may not have before. I am thankful for the opportunity to be challenged mentally by this reading and although I am not recommend the book to a close friend, I will tell others how I felt about it and explain that it was a good read and to maybe take the challenge themselves.
